Hu Jintao, Presidente della Repubblica popolare cinese, chiede ai governi dei vari livelli che venga assicurata la copertura dei servizi sanitari di base a tutti i residenti delle zone rurali e urbane. La riforma ha l’obiettivo di garantire un’assistenza sanitaria di base per tutti e di accelerare lo sviluppo di un sistema di assistenza sanitaria anche per i cittadini delle aree rurali.
Chinese police official, Wen Qiang, has been sentenced to death for corruption and rape. Wen Qiang was blamed for accepting large sums of money from criminal gangs of Chongqing in exchange of protection from the law. He has also been accused of rape and protection of criminal gangs.
According to Xinhua news agency, China has executed three Japanese citizens who were smuggling drug from the north-east province of Liaoning. Keiko Chiba, Japanese Minister of Justice said she was concerned about relations between Japan and China.
